I HAVE NOT COME TO ABOLISH
THE LAW
“Chapter 1 The Gospel According to the Spiritist
Doctrine” The
Spiritist Doctrine serves to explain the Gospel preached by Jesus. Through spirit communications the true and
hidden meaning of the parables spoken by Jesus as recorded in the Bible are
explained in simple language for everyone to understand. In the Old Testament God, through Moses
offers us the TEN COMMANDMENTS as the natural laws that govern the
universe. The commandments were
presented to a people that were lawless and without knowledge after hundreds
of years of slavery. They lacked the
sophistication and intellectual capacity to fully understand their spiritual
progress and moral obligations.
Unlike man made laws the COMMANDMENTS are laws that remain constant
and non-negotiable. They are the
measuring stick by which spirits and nations measure their moral and
evolutionary progress. With the
commandments Moses reveals to humanity the existence of God as the creator
and Supreme Being. Moses is the first
coming of our Lord, but for the people of his time the commandments slowly
became “An eye for an eye-tooth for a mentality”. Jesus demonstrates what is meant in the intent of the commandments. He models for all mankind to see and
understand the moral integrity, spirituality and behaviors that lead to the
path of enlightenment and spiritual progress. Jesus comes to fulfill the COMMANDMENTS. Although he himself is not known to have
written any works almost all of his sermons and teachings were written and
recorded by his disciples and others .

. He
spoke in parables because the people of that time lacked the spiritual
maturity to fully understand the message that he brought, just as the people
of Moses’ time did not understand the commandments. Jesus translated the TEN COMMANDMENTS into two simple
commandments-“LOVE GOD ABOVE ALL THINGS AND TREAT YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOU WOULD
HAVE HIM TREAT YOU.”
